Egoísmo y economía

Algo relacionado con esta entrada anterior, y también con estas otras, una estupendo texto en el que se distingue entre interés propio y egoísmo, y se aclara que Adam Smith nunca defendió este último sino todo lo contrario, véase por ejemplo esta cita de Theory of Moral Sentiments:

How selfish soever man may be suposed, there are evidently some principles in his nature, which interest him in the fortune of others, and render their happiness necessary to him, though he derives nothing from it except the pleasure of seeing it
